The most common problems and what to check.
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| The watch page or embedded player returns 404 | Is the item published? Check the Content tab (for broadcasts and channels, Publication) |
| The player doesn't open on your site | Embedding: is your site's domain on the list? Is the list non-empty? |
| Viewers are asked for a password | The Password access policy is set on the video, or in the playlist's Per-video access mode |
| A direct link returns 403 | Are you on Pro or Business? Signed link: 403 causes |
| The video's status is Failed | Check the limits on Resource Usage, then click Re-transcode on the Actions tab |
| The video stays in Processing for a long time | It can be watched as soon as the status is Ready to stream; 1080p takes the longest to encode |
| An upload was interrupted | Select the same file again and the upload resumes (Upload a video) |
| A channel won't start | The program isn't empty, all videos are processed, and there is a common quality (Create a channel) |
| A video won't add to a channel | Look for the too wide mark or a missing 1080p quality: Channel program |
| The background doesn't show on your site | Is delivery turned on? Is the domain on the list? (Background videos) |
