On this page
Can I stream live from a camera?
Not yet: broadcasts and channels play uploaded videos. dodocast doesn't accept a signal from a camera or encoder yet.
Is there DRM?
No. There is ClearKey encryption (AES-128, SAMPLE-AES), signed links, domain restrictions and watermarks: Security.
Is there a free plan?
No, but when you sign up your balance gets $20, which is enough to try Starter. See Plans and limits.
What languages is the console in?
English and Russian. Watch pages are also in English and Russian, and viewers switch the language themselves.
Which formats can I upload?
mp4, mov, mkv, webm, avi. Audio in different languages and subtitles are taken from the file. See Upload a video.
Where is my original file?
By default the original is deleted after processing. The extracted tracks and finished qualities remain, and the video works as usual. To keep originals, turn off Delete the original after processing in Settings → Storage. See Storage and automatic cleanup.
Is there an API?
There is no public API yet. For your site and server there is the Player SDK: links, embeds, channel data and signed links.
Why can't I add a 2.39:1 video to a 16:9 channel?
A channel broadcasts in a single aspect ratio and won't accept a wider video. Create a channel in the aspect ratio you need: Channel format.
