SolutionsAnalytics & teamVideo analytics
See what they watch. And where they leave.
Plays, unique viewers, watch time and a retention curve for every video. Concurrent viewers and peak for channels and broadcasts. Completion for every lesson of a course.
More than plays.
Retention curve
Built from the segments actually played, so seeking doesn’t inflate retention. Click a point and the player jumps to that moment.
Completion funnel
Share of sessions reaching 25, 50, 75 and 100%, average share watched and full completions.
Who’s watching
Breakdowns by country, device, operating system, browser and rendition.
Referrers
Which sites viewers come from and how many arrive directly.
Viewers on air
For channels and broadcasts — concurrent viewers, peak and average session.
What’s watched inside
For playlists, channels and broadcasts — plays, time, completion and share for each video.
Traffic and storage on one screen.
The home screen shows traffic, plays, storage against your plan and top videos — by traffic and by contribution to the storage peak.
- Any period from 7 days to a year, broken down by day, week or month.
- Comparison with the previous period — see right away where traffic is growing.
- Storage by daily peak, just like the bill: no surprises at the end of the month.
Where the numbers come from.
The dodocast player
Completion, retention and watch time are collected by the player on the watch page and in the embed. Unique viewers are an estimate by IP and browser.
External players
When a video is watched via direct HLS links in your own player, it shows up in traffic and manifest requests, but without behavioural metrics.
Three steps in the console.
Publish
Metrics are collected when people watch on the dodocast page or in the embed.
Open “Analytics”
On a video, playlist, channel or broadcast. Account-wide numbers are on the console home.
Pick a period
From 7 days to a year, by day, week or month.
Your channel is one upload away.
