How to use them
Drop a URL into your player.
01
Copy a URL
Every stream is a plain https link to an .m3u8 — no token, no sign-up.
02
Load it in your player
hls.js, video.js, Shaka, AVPlayer, ExoPlayer or a native <video> — whatever you are testing.
03
Compare
Open the same stream in our HLS player or validator to see what a working setup looks like.
Good to know
What’s inside.
- Each stream is the same 38 seconds from the dodocast tour video, encoded in H.264 High and AAC.
- The AES-128 key is public on purpose — it’s a test key, not protection.
- All streams are VOD. There is no live test stream yet.
- For testing players only: please don’t use them as content on your site.
Questions about the streams.
Can I hotlink them in my demos?
Yes, in demos, tests and bug reports. They are served with Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * and cached by browsers.
Will the URLs change?
We keep them stable. If a stream is ever re-encoded, the URL stays the same.
Where do I get a stream of my own video?
Upload the file to dodocast: it encodes an HLS ladder up to 1080p and gives you a player and a link.
